BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A heads up for Vermonters impacted by this summer’s flooding.
Monday is the deadline to apply for FEMA assistance if you haven’t already.
If you were affected by flooding, landslides, or mudslides, you only have a few hours left to submit your application for federal help.
You qualify for aid from the July 9th through 11th flooding if you live in Addison, Caledonia, Chittenden, Essex, Lamoille, Orleans, or Washington counties, and your property was lost or damaged in the storm.
If your were impacted by both, you have to submit separate applications.
You don’t need repair estimates or insurance settlements to apply.
The application closes at 10 on Monday morning.
As of this summer, the federal government has provided over $67 million in public and individual assistance and over a million in disaster resilience funding for the 2023 flooding.
