SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Police in South Burlington are searching for a stabbing suspect who they say was part of a fight involving several people.
They say they got multiple calls just before 5 a.m. Sunday for a fight involving a knife at the intersection of Market and Garden streets.
When officers arrived, witnesses told police the people left in different vehicles.
Police say they have an arrest warrant out for Jashaun Justice, 27, on aggravated assault charges.
The investigation is ongoing but police say the fight was over a relationship.
“The victim received several stab wounds to the face, back and arm, and then both the victim and the suspect left the scene before police arrived,” South Burlington Police Det. Sgt. Dave MacDonough said.
The victim had injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police believe the people involved knew each other and there is no threat to the public.
