CVU students fundraise for adult learning program

HINESBURG, Vt. (WCAX) – While the traditional bake sale has been a way to raise money for education, in Hinesburg, business owners, and high schoolers, got creative.

Champlain Valley Union High School hosted their November hand crafters fair with over 100 vendors.

The majority of the money collected from the event, goes right back to the school’s adult community ed program.

About 3,500 people come to the event every year to shop for holiday gifts.

Students at the school say this event gives them the opportunity to raise a little money for other clubs as well.

“I think it is amazing that we get the freedom to do stuff like this. Being able to have craft fairs like this here in or school. We are hoping lot’s of people will come by and just take stuff. Most of the stuff we are giving was by donations,” Luke Buehler with the Back Country Sports Safety Club said,

Organizers say the next market will come back October 2025.
