BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – In New Hampshire, the governor’s council will consider a long-term solution for youth mental health care.
Governor Chris Sununu says the state purchased Hampstead Hospital in 2022 to bolster mental health care services for children.
Now, a new contract proposes Dartmouth Health would operate the facility, providing inpatient psychiatric care, residential treatment services, and more.
In a statement, the governor called it a “win-win opportunity that ensures world-class care while saving the state millions of dollars every year.”
