MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – The call is out for folks to lend a hand to their local school board.
With dozens of school board seats open across the state, the Vermont School Board Association says it’s looking for about 30 to 40 folks to make a difference.
They say they want to help people make an informed decision about what board service is and what it’s not. They are also aiming to increase diversity in school board governance.
“They’ll continue to be very vital to public education and the role shapes the future of education in our state, so it’s a very, very important role and it’s a rewarding role as well,” said the association’s Sue Ceglowski.
