BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – More affordable housing is on the way to the Northeast Kingdom.
Community development organization Rural Edge says they secured properties for a 40 unit development called Newport Crossing.
The nearly $22 million project adds affordable and mixed income housing to Newport City and Newport Center.
Part of the project focuses on converting the Sacred Heart High School and convent site in Newport City into housing.
