ALBANY, N.Y. (WCAX) – If you have allergies, your next EpiPen may be easier on your wallet.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul signed a law requiring health insurers to cover EpiPens and caps.
That would drop the out-of-pocket cost to $100.
EpiPens can save lives when someone goes into anaphylaxis, but they only last about a year.
Hochul says without the law, they can cost up to $600 for a 2-pack, which is the recommended amount for people to carry.
