DETROIT (WCAX) – Authorities have arrested two people in Detroit who they say are among the three people responsible for the shooting of a Rutland man in September.
Rutland Police say Xavier Bryant, 22, of Detroit, and Samantha Walker, 30, of Rutland, were two of three suspects behind the shooting of Joseph Walsh, 20, on Library Avenue on September 20. Walsh was shot in the chest but survived.
Police say the Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team located and arrested both Bryant and Walker on Wednesday. They are expected to be extradited back to Vermont where Bryant faces charges of attempted murder and Walker faces charges of accessory to attempted murder.
