BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Four Vermont libraries hit hard by last summer’s flooding will share $90,000 to help with repairs. The donation is from the rock band Phish’s WaterWheel Foundation.
The money is going to the Ainsworth Public Library in Williamstown, the Craftsbury Public Library in Craftsbury Common, the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier and the Johnson Public Library in Johnson.
Officials with the Vermont Library Association say the damage to those libraries in July 2023 reverberated throughout their communities.
This funding will help pay for permanent repairs.
