MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – As the new year is just right around the corner, officials want to warn people about firework safety.
Northstar Fireworks expects to see a steady flow of customers the next couple of days.
The team will be doing upwards of 30 firework shows throughout New England for the new year.
Just a reminder, always buy your fireworks from a consumer fireworks licensed store. Don’t play with sparklers, and don’t drink if you are going to be setting up a display.
“Number one, have a responsible adult. Number two, make sure you are at a safe distance. You know, number three, making sure that young children are not handling fireworks,” Richard Swenson of Northstar Fireworks said.
If you have pets officials say it’s best to leave them at home during the fireworks.
