Vermont and New Hampshire’s congressional delegations sworn in to 119th Congress

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WCAX) – Vermont and New Hampshire’s congressional delegations were sworn in on Friday.

After being sworn in for his fourth term, Senator Bernie Sanders said in a statement, “I look forward to the work ahead and to getting around the state to meet with Vermonters from all walks of life.”

Representative Becca Balint said she’s ready to defend the constitution in her next term in the face of what she called ‘layers of chaos’. “The work ahead is incredibly important, and so I know that there are people within the House of Representatives who do not believe actually in democracy and don’t believe in the Constitution. So we need to show up,” said Balint.

Balint also once again expressed concerns about billionaire Elon Musk’s influence on policy.

New Hampshire’s newest congressional delegate member, Representative Maggie Goodlander, expressed her excitement and gratitude in a statement, saying, “I want to thank the people of New Hampshire for trusting me with this sacred duty. Our office is here to support you in every way we can.”
