Vt. authorities still seek answers in 43 year-old cold case

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont authorities are still looking for answers to a decades-old murder that took place on this day 43 years ago.

Thirty-five-year-old Angela Belisle was found shot to death outside her home on Brookes Avenue in Burlington on January 3, 1981.

The person who found her in the snow thought she was a mannequin but called the police when he realized it was a woman.

Investigators determined Belisle was shot and killed some time in the 24 hours before she was found.

The death was ruled a homicide but remains open and unsolved.
