BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Vermont man accused of sex crimes could remain behind bars for life.
David Hojohn of Winooski was sentenced to 17 years to life on Monday after pleading guilty to multiple child sex crimes. He was arrested in 2019 after three children he knew reported he sexually assaulted them.
Hojohn will get credit for time served, which is about 5 years, meaning he could be released in 2037. But that will only happen if Vermont’s Department of Corrections deems him safe for community release. Judge Kevin Griffin said he isn’t sure that will happen.
