JERICHO, Vt. (WCAX) – Slick roads across parts of the region are causing accidents.
The Vermont Department of Public Safety says multiple weather-related accidents have prompted road closures in Jericho. Route 117 and Skunk Hollow Rd. are currently closed due to the slide-offs. There is currently no estimate of when the roads will reopen. Drivers are asked to find alternate routes.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for northern areas of Vermont and New York until Wednesday evening with snow accumulations between 3 and 9 inches. Areas of blowing snow and slick roads could impact driving during that period.
