PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – A Plattsburgh man charged in a double murder faces new charges in the case.
Joe Hewett, 50, was back in court on Wednesday facing new charges connected to the investigation.
He previously pleaded not guilty to murder charges in the deaths of Miranda Wade, 42, and her mother, Karen Lindsay, 64.
Officials now say Hewett set fire to the trailer the women lived in and dismembered their bodies.
He pleaded not guilty to the new charges in court on Wednesday.
He’s due back in court next month.
