BARRE, Vt. (WCAX) – A Williamstown charged with ramming his car into a store last week was in court Monday after his arrest over the weekend.
Devin Hallock, 22, faces charges including aggravated assault on law enforcement and illegal possession of a firearm. He also was charged with violating probation from a previous assault.
Police say Hallock last Sunday crashed his car into the storefront of Market 32 in Berlin, causing a fire. They say he was also wanted after injuring an officer with his car after they tried to stop him from doing donuts behind a church.
Hallock was arrested in Barre Saturday after a brief standoff with police.
He pleaded not guilty in court Monday and was ordered to be held without bail after the judge said he posed a significant risk to the community.
