Goodlander to serve on House Armed Services, Small Business Committees

WASHINGTON (WCAX) – Incoming New Hampshire Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander has been tapped to serve on the House Armed Services and Small Business Committees.

Goodlander was elected in November to take the place of outgoing Rep. Annie Kuster, keeping the Granite State’s delegation all Democrats.

“New Hampshire is home to more than 1,200 active-duty service members and more than 5,680 National Guard and reserve members. The brave men and women who serve in our nation’s armed forces represent the best of America. Bringing their voices to Congress is a sacred duty,” Goodlander said in a statement. “Our national defense is not a Republican or a Democratic issue it is an American issue, and I look forward to working across the aisle with my colleagues on the Armed Services Committee to support our nation’s armed forces, strengthen our national defense and deliver for our American military personnel, at home and abroad.”

She says she is also looking forward look forward to working in a bipartisan manner to build a more resilient, business-friendly future.

Goodlander is no stranger to Washington. She has worked for the U.S. Department of Justice as an intelligence officer in the Naval Reserves and in the Biden administration.
