More than $10M in NBRC funding coming to NH projects

WASHINGTON (WCAX) – More than $10 million in federal funding is on its way to New Hampshire from the Northern Border Regional Commission to support economic and infrastructure development.

The grantees in our area include the town of Whitefield, which will get $1 million for water improvements.

Families Flourish Northeast will get $1 million to build a residential substance use disorder treatment center in Lebanon.

The Gorham Community Learning Center Inc. is getting $1 million for the renovation of a bank building into a child care center.

The Mount Washington Valley Trails Association is also getting $1 million to help complete a network of accessible trails stretching from North Conway’s downtown to the Intervale Scenic Overlook.

Nearly half a million will go to complete work on the Soaring Foundation’s training center at the Franconia Airport.

The Mid-State Health Center will get $300,000 for the renovation of two suites at Mid-State’s Boulder Point facility near Plymouth.

The Colonial Theatre in Keene will also get almost half a million to expand their marketing research, development, and advertising campaign.
