PLATTSBURGH TOWN, N.Y. (WCAX) – A Peru, New York man has died after police say he suffered a medical event behind the wheel.
It happened Saturday morning on Route 9 in the town of Plattsburgh. New York State Police say Geoffrey Spear, 63, was headed north when he lost control of his pickup, hitting a utility pole and a tree.
Troopers and local EMS attempted life-saving measures but he died at the scene.
