BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Windsor County man faces federal gun charges stemming from a 2023 pursuit that led to a standoff with police.
Federal authorities say Kyle Pickett, 30, pleaded not guilty during his arraignment last Thursday on charges of being a felon in possession of firearms.
It stems from an incident in November 2023 when police say Pickett was involved in stealing cars and guns and leading police on a chase. It ended in a standoff with police at a home in Bethel.
Federal authorities say Pickett has had multiple prior felony convictions and was prohibited from possessing those stolen guns.
