BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The woman accused of gunning down a man outside a Burlington bar last summer will remain behind bars.
Aaliyah Johnson is charged with first-degree murder after police say she shot Teville Williams, 30, multiple times outside the bar Red Square.
Lawyers for Aaliyah Johnson argued again in court Tuesday that she should be let out on home detention, poses no risk to the public, and has family that would be accountable for her.
But prosecutors argued she is a danger to the public, given the nature of the allegations. The judge, who ruled on a similar motion back in September, agreed she should remain behind bars.
