MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Organizers of a nationwide protest are urging people to turn out at state capitol buildings Wednesday to speak out against the Trump administration.
The so-called 50501 movement —or 50 states, 50 protests, one day— includes noon demonstrations at the statehouses in Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York, according to the group’s social media.
Montpelier officials say as of Monday there have been no event permits or street closure application requests. The say local police will work with statewide law enforecement to make sure any demonstrations are safe.
