SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – It’s a must-see for feline fanciers– the cat show is back in the Burlington area this weekend.

The weekendlong show starts Saturday, featuring 225 cats from 45 different breeds showing up to compete.

Cats from specific breeds are judged by the qualities of their breed, though there is also a housecat division where the awards are more personality-based.

There are even some cats you can pet!

“We do have what we call Pet Me Cats. So the Pet Me Cats are cats that are brought to the show by owners specifically to be pet. And so you can pet those. Usually, there’s going to be a sign up on the cages where these cats are,” said Nancy Watt, the manager of the Cat Show.

The cat show is Saturday and Sunday at the Doubletree on Williston Road in South Burlington, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s $10 cash at the door for adults to get in. Seniors and children up to age 15 are $7. Kids under 5 get in free.
