CHESTERFIELD, N.Y. (WCAX) – Two men accused of a slaying in Northern New York last year entered guilty pleas in the case this week.

Michael Rougeau and Michael Nastasia pleaded guilty to manslaughter and other ancillary charges for the killing of Kenneth Darrah of Keeseville last March.

Darrah was stabbed multiple times before his body was thrown off a bridge at the Ausable Chasm in Chesterfield.

When asked why they did it, the men said they believed Darrah was an informant for law enforcement.

Rougeau and Nastasia could face 25 years in prison for the crime, with a five- to six-year post-supervised release.

Sentencing is set for March 25.
