ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. (WCAX) – The Yankee Sportsman’s classic returned this weekend at the Champlain Valley Expo in Essex Junction.
Hundreds of people attended the 29th annual hunting, fishing and outdoor activities event.
Activities ranged from gear and trip exhibitors to food and drink samples.
Kids also got to enjoy a fishing pond, and pellet gun safety station.
One of the organizers says he wants everyone to feel included in the sports and activities.
“I like to try to work with the young kids and women, bring them along in the sport. We have a lot of women that are doing seminars and stuff for us this year,” Yankee Sportsman Classic Promoter John Labarge said.
On Sunday, the event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets for adults are $13 dollars, $5 for children ranging from 3 to 12, and it’s free for kids under 3.
