BRIDPORT, Vt. (WCAX) – As police were processing a suspicious death scene in Bridport, Vermont State Police spoke with Addison County State’s Attorney Eva Vekos, who said she would come to the scene.
When she arrived just before 9 p.m. on Thursday, troopers say they could smell ‘intoxicants’ on Vekos and she was slurring her speech.
Vekos refused field sobriety tests and was arrested for Driving Under the Influence – Refusal. She was processed but refused fingerprinting or being photographed.
She was released with an arraignment scheduled in February.
