COLCHESTER Vt. (WCAX) – A traffic stop in Colchester led police to arrest two wanted suspects.

Colchester Police say they stopped a vehicle on Roosevelt Highway at around 11:25 a.m. Tuesday. During the stop, officers identified the driver as 34-year-old Jamie Abair and the passenger as 34-year-old Jeffrey Flanagan, both of Saint Albans.

Officers then discovered Abair was wanted for parole violation, and Flanagan was wanted by the Commonwealth of Virginia on an extraditable arrest warrant for a drug offense.

Both were taken into custody, at which point officers say they found the men were in possession of cocaine and hallucinogens. A judge ordered Flanagan to be held in jail on $10,000 bail as a fugitive from justice. Both were also cited to appear in court to answer to drug charges.
