BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Male students of color can now begin their college careers at the University of Vermont with support from a new program.
Young Men of Talent is a new CFES Brilliant Pathways program designed to reverse the decline in college enrollment among Black and Latino males. The program provides mentoring, networking, internships, and other support to encourage them to enroll and graduate. Program officials say UVM and the school’s Mosaic Center have been very supportive of and involved in the effort.
Cat Viglienzoni spoke with the group’s Manny Tejeda about the program.
