BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Another sexual abuse civil lawsuit against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington is headed to trial.

Attorneys on Wednesday met to discuss the status of six pending cases. In one case filed in 2019, the plaintiff–who was a juvenile at the time of the alleged abuse — wants financial compensation.

Jury selection is expected to begin on February 21 with trial set to start on April 8.

According to the law firm Gravel and Shea, the lawsuit is one of 10 active cases against the diocese.
