BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Floral shops all over Vermont were booming with calls while everyone was grabbing their last minute Valentine’s Day gifts.
Queen City Flowers had their Mother’s and Valentine’s Day annual pop up at the warehouse across the street from Citizen Cider. They received over 100 calls throughout the day for just as many bouquets.
They say the favorite style of bouquets this year is a rustic blend of different flowers, versus the usual rose bouquet.
Queen City Flowers owner Diana Doll says with every year her numbers keep bumping up. “Things were pretty steady with last year. I would say it bumped up. I don’t know if the economy is chugging along so people are feeling generous, but we did better this year than last year,” said Doll.
Queen City Flowers says for better water flow to your bouquet, cut your flowers diagonally.
