FAIRFIELD, Vt. (WCAX) – Police say a body discovered earlier this month has been identified as a missing Vermont man.
Vermont state police say the remains belong to Timothy “Timmy” Jettie, 59, of Fairfield. He was reported missing in December and had last been seen in October.
The body was found on Feb. 6 near the area of Castle and Menard roads in Fairfield. It’s the same area where police conducted extensive searches for Jettie.
Investigators say testing is still underway to determine the cause and manner of Jettie’s death, but they do not believe his death was suspicious or criminal in nature.
