RICHMOND, Vt. (WCAX) – March has just begun, and people are getting into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit.
At Richmond Free Library — people gathered and danced at the Burlington Irish Heritage Festival.
The 29th annual festival is a celebration of Irish culture — this festival is a tribute to the spirit and heritage of the Emerald Isle.
“The Irish dance community is a wonderful community, so welcoming and willing to share what they know new people that come to the event,” Richmond resident Paul Garrett said.
2024 marks the centennial of Ireland being recognized as an independent country by the United States.
