PROCTOR, Vt. (WCAX) – Police say a Vermont man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Proctor on Thursday.
It happened shortly after 5 a.m. on Route 3.
Vermont State Police say John Cioffi, 77, of Proctor, was headed south when his SUV went off the road and down an embankment where it hit tree stumps and started to roll.
Cioffi died at the scene.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
