I-89 N closed following Bethel crash involving trooper

BETHEL, Vt. (WCAX) – Authorities say Interstate 89 northbound has been closed following a serious crash Friday morning.

Vermont State Police say the crash is located at mile marker 23.4.

Witnesses at the scene say a VSP cruiser was totaled and that a Bethel fire truck also appears to have sustained damage.

There was no immediate word on injuries or what caused the crash.

Authorities have not released any details other than that drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes.
