SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Are you looking for a new instrument? Well, Higher Grounds may have you covered. Green State Gear Swap connects various musicians with different equipment.
The goal is to help those find the right gear, help declutter closets overflowing with instruments and create storage spaces. Before buying a piece of gear, music enthusiasts had the opportunity to test it out before sealing the deal. There was also a repair staff on site to look at the equipment for any issues and schedule a future repair to help someone make a decision.
“I think it’s really fun to see all of the different types of musicians because it’s very rare that you would have a jam musician, a metal musician and a jazz musician or someone that has been in the music community in Burlington for like longer than I’ve been alive,” Jordan Gechtman of Higher Ground said.
This is the first time they are having a gear swap and higher ground hopes they can make this an annual event.
