LYNDON, Vt. (WCAX) – Northeast Kingdom Human Services is finally moving some of their staff into Lyndon. For the past month, the organization has been waiting for approval from the town to move into Rural Edges old office building. They say about 25 people from their staff and then some will move into the building.
Staff will offer a number of services at that location, including therapeutic and clinical, mental health programming, case management, care coordination, and community engagement. But officials hope this location will give residence easier access to services in that area.
“Lyndonville is a very covenant place setting, it is one of the reasons we looked at it. It’s really central, it’s right off the highway. There is a major intersection there with route 5, 91. So we have certainly several hundred folks who live close enough in the area,” said Kelsey Stavseth, NKHS Executive Director.
The organization does not have an official move in date.
