BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – LGBTQ+ youth from across Vermont have converged in Montpelier Thursday and Friday for a leadership conference.
Organizers say despite Vermont’s progressive reputation, LGBTQ+ youth continue to report daily experiences of harm and violence in their schools. The leadership event is an effort to work together to resolve the crisis of harm in schools, promote healing, and build true safety.
