BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Happy Easter Sunday to all those who celebrate. New Alpha Missionary Baptist Church welcomed a new pastor into their family. Pastor Rene Chandler comes from Chicago and now calls Burlington his home, and he delighted to service the only black church in the green mountain state.
“You know I’m very excited to be the new pastor here, it’s a great group of individuals who embrace me and love. They got a great foundation, it’s already set,” Pastor Rene Chandler said.
The church has been around for 35 years, and Pastor Rene Chandler says he looks forward to working with this community.
