WEST HAVEN, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont State Police, from the Rutland Barracks, responded to a road rage incident involving a firearm Sunday afternoon. It happened on VT Route 22A in West Haven. Police say 54-year-old Cynthia Knipes was driving south on 22A when 20-year-old Izabel Cushing and 21-year-old Isaac Merrill tried to pass her. Knipes then tried to block Merrill’s car, not letting him get by, and then displayed a gun in a threatening manner. Troopers issued Knipes a citation to appear in court on may 6 on the charge of criminal threatening.
