MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – The U.S. Postal Service has confirmed it has a new location for a post office in Montpelier.
Since last summer’s flooding, Montpelier residents have had to travel to various locations to drop off and pick up mail, but that’s about to change.
The Postal Service says it has leased a spot within the City Center building at 89 Main Street.
The lease officially began on Monday and work will soon begin to make it a functioning post office.
Officials hope to have it up and running by the summer months.
