BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont State Police are searching for a suspect in a fatal stabbing that happened in February.
State police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Elizah Coppedge, an 18-year-old from Chicopee Massachusetts.
He is facing a second-degree murder charge in the killing of 36-year-old Casey Gras of Bennington. Gras died of multiple stab wounds to the abdomen and chest on February 6th.
Coppedge is 6′2 and weighs around 200 pounds.
He was last seen in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, on the night Gras was killed.
Police say this was an isolated incident that stemmed from a drug-related dispute.
