BENNINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Southwestern Vermont Medical Center opens a program to ease the transition into parenthood.
The Baby Café is a free, informal breastfeeding support group that offers professional lactation care and intervention. Lactation specialists provide support to moms and baby weigh-ins, and it’s also a chance for new parents to connect.
SVMC’s Baby Café is licensed through Baby Café USA, a non-profit that works to reduce health disparities nationwide.
It’s open every Wednesday, with meetings held at the Bennington community market from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
