BARRE, Vt. (WCAX) – This week marks four years since Ralph Jean-Marie went missing from a Barre motel.

Jean-Marie was last seen leaving the Hollow Inn & Motel on April 13, 2020.

Barre City Police say they didn’t learn about Jean-Marie’s disappearance until he was reported missing days later, which they say hindered their search.

However, some community members have complained in the past that they don’t think the police have done enough.

Police say they are still investigating this as a missing persons case, but there have been no major developments in the case in the last few years.

“The occurrence that everyone is indicating occurred was that he was potentially met with foul play. So, like I said, if that is truly how it happened, that is a significant event that folks should not forget about that in four years,” Barre City Police Chief Brad Vail.

The case is still active. If you know anything, the police want to hear from you at 802-476-6613.
