BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A new solar program is giving all Vermonters the chance to take full advantage of the sunshine.
On Monday, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders was joined by President Biden to announce the Solar for All program.
The $7 billion investment will provide grants or loans to working-class families to help cover the expense of installing solar or getting involved in community-based solar projects.
According to Sanders, the project will save people more than $8.7 billion in electric bills over the panel’s lifetime.
Vermont will get over $62 million from the program.
