BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A man has been arrested in New York’s north country with a homicide warrant out of another state.
Around 11:45 Wednesday night, the Clinton County Sherriff’s Office as well as Customs and Border Protection arrested 26-year-old Antwon M. Jones for possession of a loaded handgun on his way through the Champlain Port of Entry.
Law enforcement says Jones is also a fugitive from justice in Tennessee, where he faces charges of aggravated child abuse and criminally negligent homicide.
He is currently being held without bail.
