
RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) – On Wednesday, people living in Rutland’s hotel-motel program with a feline friend can get some free vet care.
Two organizations are collaborating to hold a free cat spay and neuter clinic.
Starting at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, residents will load their cats onto a bus headed to a non-profit clinic in Middlesex.
According to the Rutland County Humane Society and non-profit vet clinic VT-CAN, the county has the largest number of homeless people living in hotels.
For those who face eviction at the end of June, having un-fixed pets can add another level of complication.
