
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – This weekend, the Sanders Institute convened a gathering of policy makers, national organizations and leaders from a range of experience and expertise. Sanders Institute fellows, elected officials and directors of non-profit, union, and media organizations led seminars on climate, energy, housing, health care, patient’s rights, economics, labor, media, and AI.
“An inspiration … and has provided real policy ideas. For real initiatives that be enacted so this is not the end of the conference it’s the beginning of the work,” Sanders Institute co-founder Jane O’Meara Sanders said.
Before this conference Burlington, there was a gathering in Los Angeles, the institute focused on the homelessness and housing insecurity epidemic.
