Trial set for Elizabethtown murder suspect

ELIZABETHTOWN, N.Y. (WCAX) – A court date is set in Essex County, New York, for a suspect in the murder of William Ball.

Qwavon Harris, 28, of Brooklyn is tentatively set to go on trial on December 9.

He’s accused of fatally shooting Ball back in April.

He was charged with 2nd degree murder and two weapons-related charges but prosecutors have since added a third weapons-related charge and a charge of obstructing governmental administration.

Harris pleaded not guilty to the new charges and is being held without bail.
