BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – If you have a sweet tooth, especially late at night, you might want to listen up, Insomnia Cookies opened their first Burlington location Saturday. Lines were out the door as many were excited to try some warm and/or cold cookies. The celebration was full of freebies, and of course, sweet treats. This store is the 12th in New England, and the 282nd location nationwide.
“My kids saw it on I believe Instagram and they know all about it, so we had to wait in line to get one of these fantastic cookies. I’m so excited because I am mother of the year because I bought them here,” Shelburne resident Kristin Foley said.
The late-night bakery is looking forward to giving back to the local Burlington community by donating a portion of retail sales from the grand opening event to united way.
