BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Some tennis courts in Burlington got a facelift.
The tennis courts at Roosevelt Park in Burlington’s Old North End has a new updated look.
The Parks and Rec Department says the courts were in need of an update, from a new surface to a new fence.
Work started in the fall, but finished a few weeks ago.
What’s not allowed on these courts, though, is pickleball – and the city says there’s a reason for that.
“It is a neighborhood court and the sound of pickleball really travels so that is the one court so that is the one court in Burlington where we don’t have pickleball lines,” Cindi Wight, Burlington Parks and Rec director said.
The park is open sunrise to sunset.
